National portfolio interface
Each national Nexus programme is designed to keep a National Portfolio: the movement of a country's risk, capability, innovation, projects, research, infrastructure and handoffs over time. The Global Risks Alliance (GRA) translates the sovereign risk evidence in that portfolio for professional financial readers, so that analysts, insurers, lenders and finance ministry staff can see what it means for fiscal exposure, protection gaps and diligence. The country owns its evidence; GRA projects only what the owner authorizes. See Global engagement.

The short answer.
The national portfolio interface is how GRA translates the sovereign risk evidence in a country's National Portfolio for professional financial readers, so that analysts, insurers, lenders and finance ministry staff can see what it means for fiscal exposure and protection gaps. The country owns the evidence.

What the translation adds.
| Portfolio evidence | The financial reading | What is usually missing |
|---|---|---|
| Hazard and exposure baseline | Which public and private balance sheets carry the exposure, and through which channels | Asset registers, insured values and loss history |
| Lifelines and supply-chain dependencies | Which failures could interrupt several borrowers or insured operations at once | Counterparty mapping and restoration constraints |
| Scenario and stress-test findings | How compound shocks could reach public finance, credit and insurance | Sensitivities and dimensions not tested |
| Projects and handoffs | Which resilience projects need diligence evidence before a competent institution can review them | Safeguard owners and data permissions |
Finance fields a national portfolio carries.
- Fiscal exposure to hazards, from public asset registers.
- Financial protection in place, by layer.
- Insurance penetration and its data source.
- Bank and insurer concentration in exposed regions, from public aggregates.
- Investment pipeline readiness, with safeguards status.
These fields translate a national portfolio into the questions a finance ministry, a development lender or an insurer would ask, while the country keeps ownership of its evidence.
Aligned with the country report editions.
National findings are designed to appear in the Nexus Country Systems Risk and Resilience Report, subtitled Risk, Innovation and the National Portfolio, through quarterly editions and an annual synthesis. GRA's reading is designed to inform the chapter on finance and insurance relevance: protection gaps, fiscal and operational transmission and diligence questions.
