The short answer.
Evidence is step two of the eight-step Nexus cycle: the step at which methods from the STEM Commons and labelled data are brought to the question. It is owned by the STEM foundation of each platform. At this step GRA contributes sector-level, aggregated financial understanding, and the decision at the end of the cycle stays with the competent authority.

What evidence means for finance.
At the evidence step, GRA restates hazard and exposure evidence in financial terms: collateral, claims, revenue and fiscal cost, each with its label. Science stays at GCRI Risk Management.
The restatement keeps the science value's own uncertainty, names the reviewer metric it maps to, such as loss given default or a point on an exceedance curve, and records where the mapping is an assumption rather than an observation.

| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| Evidence label | A tag naming the kind of evidence, such as observed or modelled, that should survive every summary. |
| Evidence synthesis | The structured collection, appraisal and combination of evidence from many studies to answer a question. |
| Certainty of evidence | A rating, such as high, moderate, low or very low under GRADE, of confidence that an estimate is close to the true effect. |

Start with an enquiry.
The current service level is R0: information and enquiries. An enquiry receives a reference and names the next step; applications, payments, compute allocations and registrations open only when their team, terms and review capacity exist.
