Institutional annual review

The institutional annual review is how The Global Risks Alliance (GRA) is designed to account for each year of its work: what it did, what it did not do, what remained open and what it corrected. It is a programme accountability record, not a promotional report. It states facts only with a dated, sourced record, and it keeps limitations and corrections beside the results they qualify. No annual review has been released yet; this page sets out what each edition is designed to contain. See also About GRA.

01In brief

The short answer.

The GRA institutional annual review is designed as a programme accountability record for each year: what GRA did, what it did not do, what remained open and what it corrected. It states facts only with a dated, sourced record, keeps limitations and corrections beside results, and none has been released yet.

02Canvas

Mandate to authority.

Canvas · mandate to authorityDesign, not a record
How The Global Risks Alliance is governedA mandate sets the platform's scope; an editor and reviewers govern what it publishes; programmes and the community supply the work; the integrity route handles corrections; authority over decisions stays outside. Design of the governance, not a record.

04Purpose

Accountability for a year of work.

A financial reader should be able to compare what GRA said it would do with what it did. The review is designed to make that comparison possible, edition by edition, without restating earlier claims that lacked a record.

Outputs

What was produced

Research, readiness work and professional programmes that reached a recorded state, each with its evidence label.

Limits

What was not done

Work that stopped, slipped or concluded that evidence was insufficient, recorded as such and never presented as readiness.

Corrections

What changed

Facts corrected during the year, each kept as a recorded version with its date.

06Key terms

Terms used on this page.

Each term as this page uses it. Where a standard-setting body defines the term, the wording follows that body.

TermDefinition
Annual reviewA yearly public record of an institution's activities, governance changes, corrections and status, published with its dates and evidence.
Public accountabilityThe obligation of an institution to explain and justify its conduct to the public and to bodies that can question it, and to face consequences, as the OECD frames accountability in governance.
CorrectionA published notice that amends an error in a work whose main findings stand.
07Editorial rules

How the review is kept honest.

  • Present tense only for what operates; planned work is described as planned.
  • No membership count, partner, fee or performance figure without a dated, sourced record.
  • A reported capability is labelled as reported until it is independently verified.
  • Missing data is shown as missing, never as zero.
  • The review sits alongside the annual Nexus Reports flagship, but it reports on GRA as an institution, not on any country.
08Questions

Questions and answers.

Has GRA published an annual review?
Not yet. The first edition is released only when there is a year of recorded work to account for, with its sources. Until then this page describes the design.
Is the annual review the same as Nexus Reports?
No. Nexus Reports is the governed publication programme stewarded by The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI), to whose finance and insurance chapter GRA's analysis is designed to contribute. The annual review reports on GRA itself.
How do I challenge something in a review?
Write to integrity@globalriskalliance.com. Corrections are reviewed by the responsible editor or source owner and published as recorded versions.
