Publications and professional briefs
The Global Risks Alliance (GRA) publishes professional briefs and research outputs that translate risk evidence into the questions financial institutions ask. Each publication passes review before release, carries an evidence label on every finding and states its limits. Longer analysis appears in the Finance and Insurance Readiness series of Nexus Reports, the governed publication programme of Nexus Consortiums. Publications are listed here as they are released; nothing is shown before release. This page is part of The Global Risks Alliance home.

Fig.How a finding is reviewed before it is published. Design, not a record.
The short answer.
GRA publications and professional briefs translate risk evidence into the questions financial institutions ask; each passes review before release, carries an evidence label on every finding and states its limits. Longer analysis appears in the Finance and Insurance Readiness series of Nexus Reports, and no publication is investment research.
Financial centres and urban exposure in Mexico.

What GRA is designed to publish.
Professional briefs
Short notes on one financial question, such as a protection gap, a transmission channel or a model-risk issue, with the evidence state of each claim.
Research outputs
Longer analyses with methods, sources, assumptions and sensitivities, described on research and intelligence.
Nexus Reports chapters
GRA's analysis is designed to inform the Finance and Insurance Readiness series and the finance chapter of the annual flagship.
From draft to a published, correctable record.
- 01
Scope and sources
The question, its intended readers and the sources are recorded, with the rights under which each source may be used and published.
- 02
Analysis
Findings are drafted with one evidence label each: observed, officially reported, institution-reported, estimated, modelled, forecast, scenario, expert judgement or unknown.
- 03
Review
A reviewer not responsible for the draft checks methods, labels and limits. No sponsor or member may approve, delay or change a publication.
- 04
Release
The publication is released with its version, date, authors, funding source and a route to challenge it.
- 05
Correction
Errors are corrected as recorded versions, listed on corrections and updates, never as silent edits.
What a publication is, and what it is not.
| A GRA publication is | It is never |
|---|---|
| Evidence and analysis for the reader's own judgement | Investment, credit, insurance or legal advice |
| A statement of what is known, estimated or unknown | A rating, score or bankability grade |
| Industry-wide and precompetitive | A recommendation of any institution, product or counterparty |
| Published with its limits beside its findings | A forecast of loss presented as certainty |
Terms used on this page.
Each term as this page uses it. Where a standard-setting body defines the term, the wording follows that body.
| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| Evidence label | A tag naming the kind of evidence, such as observed or modelled, that should survive every summary. |
| Version of record | The fixed version of a work that a publisher formally declares published; later changes appear as dated corrections or new versions, never as silent edits, in the sense NISO's journal article versions recommendation uses. |
| Peer review | Evaluation of a work by independent experts in the field before publication. |
| Investment advice | A personal recommendation on investments, a regulated activity in most jurisdictions. |
One governed programme, several contributors.
Nexus Reports is one publication programme: quarterly country editions, an annual flagship and specialist series. GRA contributes the financial reading of evidence; The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI) stewards the programme and its methods, described on the Nexus Reports programme page; The Global Risks Forum (GRF) governs the Nexus Universe annual programme whose results inform the flagship. A report that is planned is not a report released.
