Events and professional dialogues

This page lists the events and professional dialogues of The Global Risks Alliance (GRA) that are verified, scheduled and approved, and only those. No GRA event is listed today. When one is, it appears with its organizer, date, place or format, terms of participation and the competition-law safeguards that apply. Because GRA brings competitors together, every meeting it holds is designed to run under the same written rules, which counsel reviews before membership opens. See also The Global Risks Alliance home and News and industry notices.

01In brief

The short answer.

GRA events and professional dialogues are listed only when verified, scheduled and approved, with their organizer, date, format, terms and the competition-law safeguards that apply. No GRA event is listed today, and because GRA brings competitors together, every meeting is designed to run under the same written rules.

04Listing rule

An event appears only with its record.

FieldWhat a listing is designed to show
OrganizerThe institution responsible, and whether GRA organizes or contributes
Date and formatA confirmed date, and a confirmed place or online format
PurposeThe shared, precompetitive question the dialogue addresses
ParticipationWho may attend, in what capacity, and how registration works
SafeguardsThe agenda, minute-keeping and competition rules that apply

Event registration opens only when its team, terms and review capacity exist. No event, host, venue or date is implied until it is listed here.

05How dialogues run

Every meeting, under the same rules.

  1. 01

    A written agenda in advance

Topics are set out beforehand, limited to shared evidence, methods and skills.

  2. 02

    Topics that are never discussed

Prices, premiums, rates, fees, wages, bids, underwriting, lending or coverage terms, capacity, and individual customers or suppliers.

  3. 03

    Minutes recorded

A record is kept, and the chair stops any discussion that strays.

  4. 04

    Concerns raised in confidence

Any participant may stop a discussion and raise it with compliance@globalriskalliance.com.

These safeguards are the design of GRA programmes, set out in a written competition policy that counsel reviews before membership opens.

06Key terms

Terms used on this page.

Each term as this page uses it. Where a standard-setting body defines the term, the wording follows that body.

TermDefinition

Competitively sensitive informationInformation on prices, costs, capacity or strategy whose exchange can reduce competition.
Chatham House RuleA rule under which participants may use information received but may not reveal the identity or affiliation of speakers.
07Participation

Who takes part, and in what capacity.

Professionals

By competence

Actuaries, risk managers, quantitative analysts, economists and engineers contribute in a personal or institutional capacity, as the event states.

Public officials

Official capacity only

Supervisors and other public officials are not members of GRA; they may take part in open dialogues only in their official capacity and under their own institution's rules.

Elsewhere

Convenings led by The Global Risks Forum (GRF) appear on the GRF events calendar; sessions of The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI) on GCRI events.

08Questions

Questions and answers.

Why are no events listed?
GRA lists only verified, scheduled and approved programmes. None meets that standard today, so none is listed.
Is Nexus Universe a GRA event?
No. Nexus Universe is the annual programme governed by GRF. Finance and insurance readiness is one of its planned tracks; see Universe finance-readiness programme.
Can I propose a professional dialogue?
Yes. Write to contact@globalriskalliance.com with the shared question it would address. The acknowledgement gives a reference and names the next step; a proposal is not a scheduled event.
Does attending a GRA event confer membership or standing?
No. Attendance confers no membership, authority, endorsement or regulatory standing.

Start with an enquiry.

The current service level is R0: information and enquiries. An enquiry receives a reference and names the next step; applications, payments, compute allocations and registrations open only when their team, terms and review capacity exist.
