01In brief

The short answer.

Readiness in Private Equity Nexus is the state in which a programme's evidence, governance and documentation let a competent institution review it independently, against frameworks such as Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD) and Investment Advisers Act rules and Form PF. A readiness file is released only at the owner's written direction, and GRA does not approve, rate, underwrite, lend or invest.

Scoping to review.

Canvas · scoping to reviewDesign, not a record
Resilience and finance readiness: from customer due diligence to suspicious activity reportCustomer due diligence sets a risk rating; transaction monitoring scenarios raise alerts; analysts triage and investigate; the MLRO decides whether to report to the financial intelligence unit; feedback tunes the scenarios. Design of the process, not a record of a run.

03Spatial finance

Assets on the grid, and the portfolio they make.

Where a portfolio's assets sit, and how much of its value is most exposed. Hypothetical assets, not an assessment.

Sixteen assets at real towns, and the share of portfolio value in the most exposed places.Hypothetical assets and design scores, not advice.
04Readiness

Readiness is not approval.

A readiness file describes a programme's evidence, risks and governance so that an institution can carry out its own review. GRA does not approve, rate, underwrite, lend or invest, and it recommends no counterparty.

05Due diligence lens

Physical and transition risk in deal diligence.

Readiness work prepares evidence for each stream. The sponsor and its advisers decide.

Diligence streamClimate and resilience question
CommercialDoes demand depend on weather, regulation or a carbon-intensive supply chain?
OperationalAre sites, suppliers and logistics exposed to hazards within the hold period?
FinancialDo refinancing and exit assumptions survive a transition or hazard scenario?
InsuranceIs property and business interruption cover available at current terms for the sites?
Legal and regulatoryWhich disclosure and conduct rules will apply at exit?
06Hold period

Why the horizon matters.

A typical holding period is short relative to climate change, but hazards are already present and transition policy changes inside it. The risk that matters most at exit is a buyer's view of the asset's longer horizon. Topic depth at physical risk to assets and exit and liquidity.

07Release

Who sees a readiness file.

A file is released only at the programme owner's written direction, to a party the owner chooses, with no fee tied to any transaction.

Does a readiness file mean finance is available?
No. It supports an independent review by the competent institution, which decides under its own rules.
