The Global Risks Alliance (GRA)
Confirmed events in Insurance Nexus, each with its date, organizer, format and terms. Only scheduled, confirmed activities are listed.
Fig.How an event goes from a call for sessions to its record. Design, not a schedule.
Insurance Nexus events are confirmed technical dialogues, workshops and sessions on insurance and catastrophe, climate and hazards, and health and biosecurity, each listed with its date, organizer, format and terms. Only scheduled, confirmed activities appear, and a planned event is never shown as held. Sessions may run under the Chatham House Rule, and outcome notes are published only with participants' consent.
For professional meetings, in GRA's spatial-finance reading, the map opens on population density, night lights and flood water with built-up and settlement extent from NASA GIBS, framed on the Gulf of Mexico coast; every other NASA layer, live feed and forecast waits in the layer list.

Layers and dates
These are rule and standard milestones set by public bodies, listed so Insurance Nexus readers can plan; they are not Insurance Nexus events. Verified 13 October 2026.
| Date | Milestone |
|---|---|
| 2026 | IAIS baseline self-assessment of Insurance Capital Standard implementation |
| 30 January 2027 | Solvency II review amendments apply |
| 2 December 2027 | EU AI Act high-risk duties for life and health insurance pricing apply |
Insurance Nexus lists these so underwriters and portfolio managers can plan reviews of insured and uninsured loss, insurability and the capital view of catastrophe risk; each date is rechecked against the issuing body before a page is republished.

Each term as this page uses it. Where a standard-setting body defines the term, the wording follows that body.
| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| Chatham House Rule | A rule under which participants may use information received but may not reveal the identity or affiliation of speakers. |
| Code of conduct | A written set of standards for how members, staff or participants behave, with a route for complaints and a stated process for handling them. |
| Catastrophe model | Software that combines hazard, exposure and vulnerability modules to simulate many possible events and estimate the distribution of insured loss. |
The bodies and documents this page is read against. Status and editions change; each link goes to the issuing body.
The current service level is R0: information and enquiries. An enquiry receives a reference and names the next step; applications, payments, compute allocations and registrations open only when their team, terms and review capacity exist.
