The Nexus cycle on The Global Risks AllianceA question from a programme becomes evidence, a governed build, an organized community, a controlled test, a reviewed publication and a decision taken by the competent authority. Design of the cycle, not a record of a run.

01In brief

The short answer.

Test is step five of the eight-step Nexus cycle: the step at which selected work is tested under controlled conditions in the annual Nexus Universe programme. It is owned by Nexus Universe, which has its own website. At this step GRA contributes financial-sector themes to Nexus Universe, and the decision at the end of the cycle stays with the competent authority.

04Finance step

Testing financial readiness.

At the test step, readiness evidence is run through scenarios and exercises: a compound event, a trigger, a cover withdrawal. Results are scenario evidence. Exercises are governed at GRF simulation and after-action.

Each test records the scenario narrative, the dependence assumed between hazards and markets, and what the evidence could not show, so a later reader can repeat it with new data.
