01In brief

The short answer.

Islamic Finance and Takaful is a chapter of Banking Nexus: a specialist sub-community with its own group, editor and research agenda. Its work starts from the cornerstone topic, Islamic banking. Islamic banking is banking under contracts and governance designed to comply with Islamic commercial law, using sale, lease and partnership instruments in place of interest-bearing loans. A chapter becomes a platform of its own only by meeting the graduation rule.
