Terms used on this page.
Each term as this page uses it. Where a standard-setting body defines the term, the wording follows that body.
| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| Membership | The status of a person or institution admitted under published rules; at GRA it confers participation in professional work and no authority, endorsement or access to any transaction. |
| Common exposure | Holdings of the same or similar assets by several institutions, which makes their losses move together. |
| Antitrust safeguards | The written rules, agendas, minutes and counsel review that keep competitors in a trade association from exchanging competitively sensitive information or coordinating prices, output or customers. |
Records first, then rights.
Member rights are set by bylaws and membership terms once adopted, described on member governance. No fee is published and none is charged today; any fee schedule is published with its issuer, currency, effective date and the pathways it applies to before applications open. Members follow the competition safeguards and the conduct expectations on professional conduct and complaints. Institutions taking part in a national programme do so separately through the National Nexus Consortium (NNC), described by The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI) on institutional participation.
