Readings from the other desks: cross-references to their editions for the same scope, not copies of them.

In preparation. This chapter is seeded with Global Risks Alliance’s reading printed in the GCRI edition; Global Risks Alliance replaces it with its own text when it writes the edition.

6.1Capital Meaning: the GRA reading in the GCRI edition

The Global Risks Alliance (GRA)’s reading of Global Climate 2026, as printed in chapter 6 of the Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI) Systems Evidence edition (GRA · KEY F).

Readiness implications only. Event losses are rising, adaptation finance is small beside mitigation finance and the carbon budget is nearly used [20] [3] [6]. These show where finance-readiness evidence will matter. Nothing here is advice, a rating or an approval.

Findings it draws on: FIN-010 · CLI-005.

6.3Contribute to this chapter

How far finance and insurance are ready for the risks in scope: protection gaps, disclosure practice, portfolio readiness and the capacity of balance sheets, read on a ladder of evidence and never as advice or a rating. Material for this chapter goes to the GRA Capital Readiness desk; what belongs to another desk is forwarded, not refused.

The Alliance reads an edition for capital readiness: whether insurers, banks, investors and public finance can read a finding without distorting it.

If you price or allocate against these risks, send the case and say what you may disclose. The Alliance will cite the part you can share.
