Institutional Funds Nexus counterparts are the platforms at GCRI and GRF that work on the same fields under other mandates, among them Nexus Campaigns and Cities and Built Environment at GCRI as well as Information Integrity and Public Trust at GRF. GCRI studies a field as science, GRF governs it and GRA builds shared financial understanding of it, so each counterpart shows another side of capital markets and investment.
Fig.How GCRI, GRF and GRA share one field while the authorities decide. Design, not a record.
Institutional Funds Nexus reads their evidence for its financial meaning and leaves the science and governance with them.
For Institutional Funds Nexus, counterparts supply the hazard, systems and governance evidence behind long-horizon asset-liability effects and liquidity; Institutional Funds Nexus adds the financial reading for pension trustees and chief investment officers and actuaries advising schemes.
Each term as this page uses it. Where a standard-setting body defines the term, the wording follows that body.
| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| Counterpart platform | A platform at another Consortium institution that works in a shared field under a different mandate: science at GCRI, governance at GRF or financial understanding at GRA. |
| Field gateway | A GCRI page for one field that links the platforms studying it as science, governing it and building financial understanding of it, with the methods they share. |
| Science-policy interface | The arrangements through which scientific evidence reaches public decisions, including advisory committees, chief scientific advisers, academies and intergovernmental assessments. |
