02Author guidelines

Read the guidelines.

The author guidelines tool of GRA Capital Readiness follows. How far finance and insurance are ready for the risks in scope: protection gaps, disclosure practice, portfolio readiness and the capacity of balance sheets, read on a ladder of evidence and never as advice or a rating.

Author guidelines

What we take

We take these kinds: Scholarly article, Essay, Data or method, Correction, National desk.

Every kind goes through the same staged review. Essays, data and corrections use the passes that fit them.

Before you submit

Declare authorship, funding and any relationship with the subject. Declare data availability and any use of AI.

AI cannot be an author. You are responsible for every claim and every source.

Every value resolves to a numbered source.

Review model

Models: Single-anonymous, Double-anonymous, Open review. Single-anonymous is the default.

Under the single-anonymous model reviewers know who wrote the work and you do not know who reviewed it. Under the double-anonymous model neither knows. Remove your name from the text and the files.

Reviewers choose whether to sign. Their comments are published only with their consent.

What happens next

We acknowledge within 2 days and screen within 10 days. Reviews take up to 28 days. The board decides within 14 days.

Check any step on the status page with your reference. Late steps show there.

After the decision

The board accepts, asks for a revision or declines. You answer each point of a revision letter and upload a new version.

You may appeal a decline within 30 days on process error, an undeclared conflict or misread evidence. A panel with no earlier involvement decides.

Licence and corrections

Text is published under CC BY 4.0 and data under CC0.

A correction is a new version of the same identifier with a notice. A retraction keeps the text readable with a marker.
