Professional meetings: a convening from call to recordA call for sessions is issued; proposals are selected against criteria; the programme is built with balance; the convening runs; the record is published and follow-up tracked. Design of the process, not a record of a run.

01In brief

The short answer.

Insurance Nexus events are confirmed technical dialogues, workshops and sessions on insurance and catastrophe, climate and hazards, and health and biosecurity, each listed with its date, organizer, format and terms. Only scheduled, confirmed activities appear, and a planned event is never shown as held. Sessions may run under the Chatham House Rule, and outcome notes are published only with participants' consent.

02Geography

Hazards and exposure in the Gulf of Mexico coast.

For professional meetings, in GRA's spatial-finance reading, the map opens on population density, night lights and flood water with built-up and settlement extent from NASA GIBS, framed on the Gulf of Mexico coast; every other NASA layer, live feed and forecast waits in the layer list.

The interactive map needs JavaScript; the layer list and sources are below.

03How it works

Events and technical dialogues in Insurance Nexus.

  • Each entry shows its scope, host or owner, and terms.
  • Participation follows published rules, applied equally.
  • Taking part gives no authority or influence over findings.
04Dated milestones

Milestones in the Insurance Nexus field, from public records.

These are rule and standard milestones set by public bodies, listed so Insurance Nexus readers can plan; they are not Insurance Nexus events. Verified 13 October 2026.

DateMilestone
2026IAIS baseline self-assessment of Insurance Capital Standard implementation
30 January 2027Solvency II review amendments apply
2 December 2027EU AI Act high-risk duties for life and health insurance pricing apply

Insurance Nexus lists these so underwriters and portfolio managers can plan reviews of insured and uninsured loss, insurability and the capital view of catastrophe risk; each date is rechecked against the issuing body before a page is republished.
