01In brief

The short answer.

Institutional Funds Nexus research is the evidence work behind the platform: questions such as pension system resilience and long-term risk, answered with actuarial mathematics as well as financial economics and macro-finance and reviewed before publication. Every result carries an evidence label, from observed to modelled or expert judgement, and missing data is shown as missing, never filled silently.

Professional research: from a source to a labelled evidence recordA source is registered with its licence and steward, checked for quality and coverage, labelled by evidence class, versioned and published with a passport; corrections create a new version. Design of the process, not a record of a run.

03Geography

Activity and exposure in Oceania and the Pacific.

For professional research, in GRA's spatial-finance reading, the map opens on night lights, population density and true-colour imagery with built-up and settlement extent from NASA GIBS, framed on Oceania and the Pacific; every other NASA layer, live feed and forecast waits in the layer list.

The interactive map needs JavaScript; the layer list and sources are below.

05Research questions

The questions Institutional Funds Nexus research works on.

QuestionEvidence used
How do heat and health change liabilities?allocations, liabilities and collateral positions
Where do assets and sponsor overlap?home-region holdings and sponsor sites
How much liquidity do hedges need?asset-liability models

Institutional Funds Nexus research concerns long-horizon asset-liability effects and liquidity. It is written for pension trustees and chief investment officers and actuaries advising schemes, carries an evidence label on every value and never performs any institution's own analysis of manager selection.

06Evidence

Every result keeps its label.

Results are labelled as observed, officially reported, estimated, modelled, forecast, scenario or expert judgement. Missing data is shown as missing, never filled silently.

Each term as this page uses it. Where a standard-setting body defines the term, the wording follows that body.

TermDefinition
Research integrityConduct of research in line with principles of reliability, honesty, respect and accountability, as the European Code of Conduct for Research Integrity sets them out.
Evidence labelA tag naming the kind of evidence, such as observed or modelled, that should survive every summary.
ReproducibilityObtaining consistent results using the same data and analysis code as the original study.
Universal ownershipHolding a slice of the whole economy, so that systemic risks and externalities fall on the investor's own portfolio.

Can I propose a research question?
Yes. Write to contact@globalriskalliance.com with the question, the context and who would use the answer. A proposal receives a reference; it does not commit the platform to the work.
