Industry scope and publisher

Banking Nexus is an industry platform of The Global Risks Alliance (GRA), a nonprofit corporation registered in Nevada, United States, operating as a business league for the financial services industry and one of the three pillar institutions of Nexus Consortiums. A business league works on the common interest of an industry, not the private business of any member. This page sets out the subject community of Banking Nexus, its publisher and the legal limits that apply to everything published on it.

01In brief

The short answer.

Banking Nexus is a specialist platform of The Global Risks Alliance for financial stability, capital markets and investment, and climate and hazards. Its mandate covers banking risk, resilience, credit, liquidity, operational dependencies and emerging technologies. GRA publishes it, answers for its content and takes no decision on anyone's behalf. It is established and works at service level R0, information and enquiries.

How Banking Nexus is governedA mandate sets the platform's scope; an editor and reviewers govern what it publishes; programmes and the community supply the work; the integrity route handles corrections; authority over decisions stays outside. Design of the governance, not a record.

03Geography

Activity and exposure in Western Europe.

For industry scope and publisher, in GRA's spatial-finance reading, the map opens on night lights and population density with night lights tonight from NASA GIBS, framed on Western Europe; every other NASA layer, live feed and forecast waits in the layer list.

The interactive map needs JavaScript; the layer list and sources are below.

A business league, organized for the common interest.

Banks face risks no single institution can measure alone: correlated exposures to the same hazards, dependence on the same technology providers and payment systems, and contagion through funding markets. Banking Nexus brings banking professionals together on these shared, precompetitive questions, with scientists from The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI) supplying the hazard and dependency evidence.

GRA publishes Banking Nexus and answers for its content and corrections. Editorial coverage of each topic requires named subject review, references and relevant independent specialist voices. Banking Nexus is an established platform; its existing community and published root are preserved and its activity is recorded as it is verified. The current service level is R0: information and enquiries; membership applications open once terms are adopted, and no fee is charged today.
