An observer has limited permission to view, attend, or learn from selected activities without full participation rights. Observer status may be appropriate for prospective participants, invited experts, public authority learning participants, institutional contacts, sponsor contacts, students, advisors, or people being introduced to the pathway.
An active participant has completed required steps for the relevant pathway, such as account setup, profile, country pathway, subscription, acknowledgements, conflict disclosure, and onboarding review. Active status may allow access to appropriate dashboards, forms, workspaces, sector platform pathways, National Stewardship Council preparation, Stewardship Pool participation, and role nomination opportunities where applicable.
Observer status does not usually count toward National Desk activation thresholds unless the rules expressly say otherwise. It should not imply Council participation, GRA role, Capital-Reader Room status, Insurance-Readiness Room status, Nexus Universe preparation status, or institutional representation.
Active status is broader, but still not unlimited. An active participant may still require separate approval for controlled rooms, leadership roles, board-pathway status, institutional representation, or Nexus Universe participation.
Observer means limited learning status. Active means current participation status within defined boundaries.
