01In brief

The short answer.

Fintech Nexus sector scenarios are published, aggregated descriptions of how exposures in the capital markets and investment field could evolve under stated assumptions, read against frameworks such as CPMI-IOSCO Principles for financial market infrastructures (PFMI). They describe sector-level exposures with their limits; they are not forecasts, assess no individual firm and are not investment advice.

02Canvas

Scoping to review.

Canvas · scoping to reviewDesign, not a record
Published scenarios: a public service over digital public infrastructureA person proves who they are, consents to share data, the agency exchanges data through agreed interfaces, pays through the switch, and any grievance is redressed; every step is auditable. Design of the process, not a record of a run.

03Spatial finance

Settlement dependencies, and what fails with a node.

How a failure at one financial centre can spread through settlement links. Design links, not real dependencies.

05Scenario set

Severe but plausible scenarios for fintech services.

ScenarioWhat it stresses
Loss of a cloud regionHosting concentration and failover across regions
Compromise of a widely used software librarySupply-chain security and patch speed across clients
Stablecoin runRedemption capacity and reserve liquidity under MiCA-style rules
Card or instant payment scheme outageFallback channels and customer communication
Regional disaster cutting power and connectivityBranchless access to cash and payments for affected households
06Spatial finance

Settlement dependencies, and what fails with a node.

Scenarios are run on a dependency network of services, providers and data centres. Removing one node shows which services lose availability and where their users are. Links in GRA figures are design links, not real dependencies. Methods at GCRI network science; governance at GRF cyber and public infrastructure.
