01In brief

The short answer.

Financial Inclusion and SME Finance is a chapter of Fintech Nexus: a specialist sub-community with its own group, editor and research agenda. Its work starts from the cornerstone topic, financial inclusion. Financial inclusion means individuals and small firms can use useful, affordable and safe financial services: transaction accounts, savings, credit, insurance and payments. A chapter becomes a platform of its own only by meeting the graduation rule.

From enquiry to contribution.

Financial Inclusion and SME Finance: a working group from charter to sunsetA charter sets the question and the code of conduct; members join with declared interests; a workplan produces deliverables that are reviewed and credited; the group reports and sunsets or renews. Design of the process, not a record of a run.

05Inclusion and hazard

Why inclusion is a resilience question.

Households and small firms with accounts and digital payments receive transfers and insurance payments faster after disasters. Where connectivity or power fails, those channels fail too. Inclusion evidence at GCRI digital economy and inclusion; topic depth at financial inclusion.

The Financial Inclusion and SME Finance chapter of Fintech Nexus keeps the platform boundary: it never covers product endorsements or vendor rankings or security assessments of any firm, and its evidence carries the same labels as every Fintech Nexus page.
