Climate and Nature Financial Risk counterparts are the platforms at GCRI and GRF that work on the same fields under other mandates, among them Water Nexus and Food Nexus at GCRI as well as Diplomacy Nexus and Climate and Nature Governance at GRF. GCRI studies a field as science, GRF governs it and GRA builds shared financial understanding of it, so each counterpart shows another side of climate and hazards.

Climate and Nature Financial Risk reads their evidence for its financial meaning and leaves the science and governance with them.
For Climate and Nature Financial Risk, counterparts supply the hazard, systems and governance evidence behind physical, transition and nature risk across sectors; Climate and Nature Financial Risk adds the financial reading for climate risk managers in banks and insurers and disclosure and sustainability reporting teams.
Each term as this page uses it. Where a standard-setting body defines the term, the wording follows that body.
| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| Counterpart platform | A platform at another Consortium institution that works in a shared field under a different mandate: science at GCRI, governance at GRF or financial understanding at GRA. |
| Field gateway | A GCRI page for one field that links the platforms studying it as science, governing it and building financial understanding of it, with the methods they share. |
| Science-policy interface | The arrangements through which scientific evidence reaches public decisions, including advisory committees, chief scientific advisers, academies and intergovernmental assessments. |
