Transition and Sustainable Finance is a chapter of Asset Management Nexus: a specialist sub-community with its own group, editor and research agenda. Its work starts from the cornerstone topic, transition finance. Transition finance is funding for high-emitting companies, assets and regions to reduce their emissions, rather than only financing what is already low-carbon. A chapter becomes a platform of its own only by meeting the graduation rule.

For transition and sustainable finance, in GRA's spatial-finance reading, the map opens on population density and night lights with built-up and settlement extent from NASA GIBS, framed on North America; every other NASA layer, live feed and forecast waits in the layer list.

The Transition and Sustainable Finance chapter of Asset Management Nexus keeps the platform boundary: it never covers recommendations to buy, hold or sell or collective voting or exclusion commitments, and its evidence carries the same labels as every Asset Management Nexus page.

Each term as this page uses it. Where a standard-setting body defines the term, the wording follows that body.
| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| Transition plan | A company's plan setting targets, actions and resources for its shift toward lower emissions. |
| Sustainability-linked bond | A bond whose terms change if the issuer misses stated sustainability performance targets. |
| Portfolio decarbonisation | A fall in a portfolio's measured emissions, which may come from selling holdings rather than real-world cuts. |
| Chapter | In the Nexus network, a specialist sub-community inside a platform with its own group, editor and research agenda; it can become its own platform only by meeting the published graduation rule. |

The current service level is R0: information and enquiries. An enquiry receives a reference and names the next step; applications, payments, compute allocations and registrations open only when their team, terms and review capacity exist.
